The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited announced that Benjamin Vuchot will take the reins as its executive director and chief executive effective 3rd March 2025.
HSH, which owns and operates The Peninsula Hotels, also advised that Vuchot will take over from current CEO and executive director Clement King Man Kwok.
Aside from the aforementioned positions, Vuchot will also join HSH’s executive committee, finance committee, and its group management board. He will also serve as director at several of the company’s entities.

Meet Benjamin Vuchot
Vuchot is an alumnus of France’s ESSEC Business School where he earned the degree Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Marketing.
The 52-year-old has over 30 years’ experience in the luxury retail business, specifically with two leading global firms: Richemont and Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey (LVMH.)
Keeping this in mind, he brings extensive experience in driving business growth and expansion through innovative strategies and initiatives.
Vuchot began his career in sales and marketing at Cartier in Hong Kong and Singapore, later becoming communications director for the Far East.
In 2002, he worked as managing director and president for the Asia Pacific at Van Cleef & Arpels.
In 2011, he first joined DFS Group as managing director and regional president for North Asia, Hong Kong, holding the position until 2017.
He was appointed as president of Asia Pacific for cosmetic and fragrance retailer Sephora before rejoining DFS Group in 2020 to become its chairman and CEO.
